Donna Wake received her Ed.D. from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA in 2006 and joined the faculty at University of the Ozarks where she is the director of middle level and secondary education. Prior to 2006, she taught at La Salle University in Philadelphia, PA; at California State University in Fullerton, CA; and at Siwell Middle School in Jackson, MS. She has her B.A. in English from Hendrix College in Conway, AR; her M.A. in Art History from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock; and her M.S. in Education from La Salle University in Philadelphia, PA. Her doctorate is in Curriculum, Instruction, and Technology in Education (C.I.T.E) with a focus on literacy and language. She is currently involved in research on reading and language acquisition, technology integration, pre-service teacher development, and critical and multi-literacies.
