Sheree Crites
2010
ACTELA Webmaster

Hello! I am Sheree Crites. I have been a member of ACTELA since 2000. I graduated in 1999 with my B.S.E. in English. I am also approved to teach Speech and Theatre. In May of 2010 I graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with my M.S.E. in Advanced Studies of Teaching and Learning.
This will be my 8th year as an instructor at the A.D.E. Distance Learning Center in Maumelle, and my 11th year of teaching. I teach AP Language and Composition and Oral Communication. I teach over one hundred students in about a dozen school districts across the state.

In spring of 2008, I was selected by Discovery Educator Network to attend the National Educators' Conference in Silver Spring, Maryland. In the fall of 2009 I received the Outstanding Distance Learning Teacher award from the Arkansas Distance Learning Association and in the spring of 2010 was honored to receive the United States Distance Learning Association's award for the same reason. Most exciting, was my recent scholarship from the Arthur and Rochelle Belfer fund to attend the Holocaust Educator's conference in Washington, D.C. in June of 2010. That trip was just the beginning of my journey to become a United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Teacher Fellow.
