ACTELA
Sarah Henry , NCTE Liaison

 

I am a 10th grade English and Modern Grammar teacher at Parkview ARts/Science Magnet High School. I am a graduate of A.M. and N. College in 1964 (now University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff) with a BA degree in English. My teaching career includes positions at the following schools: Merrill High School (Pine Bluff), Forest Heights Junior High School (Little Rock), and Parkview Arts/Science Magnet High School (Little Rock, AR). At my current position, I am the co-sponsor of National Honor Society and sponsor of Teachers of Tomorrow. In 2002, I was awarded Teacher of the Year at Parkview. I have served on the board of ACTELA since 1994 and served previously as ACTELA secretary. I currently serve as the NCTE Liaison for ACTELA. For 2007, I am a reader for English Journal. In addition, I was recently appointed as an NCTE Region Five Affiliate Representative.
