Chris Goering,

Chris Goering has a bachelor’s degree in English, a Master’s degree in education, and a doctorate of philosophy. This is his fifth year serving as an assistant professor English Education at the University of Arkansas and 12th overall year in education. In addition to his service to the ACTELA board as University Liaison, Co-SLATE Coordinator, and Co-NCTE Liaison, he is also serving on the NCTE Secondary Section Steering Committee and the NCTE Research Forum. His scholarship interests involve using music in the teaching of English and the complex dynamic that develops when high school students perform dramatic oral reading activities.
