Dana Breitweiser, ADE
2008

Dana Breitweiser has been an English Language Arts Specialist with the Curriculum, Assessment, and Research Section of the Arkansas Department of Education since June 2007.  Prior to taking the position at the ADE, Dana spent eight years teaching high school and middle school English at the Harmony Grove School District in Saline County.  She also has experience working in public and private schools as a speech therapist, social studies teacher, and English as a second language teacher.

Dana earned a B.S.E. in speech therapy and social studies from the University of Central Arkansas in 1975.  Later, she returned to school to become licensed in the area of English.  In 2007, Dana received her M.A. in professional and technical writing from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.  Dana’s professional affiliations include the Association of State Coordinators of English Language Arts, the National Council of Teachers of English, and the Arkansas Council of Teachers of English Language Arts.
